with clients. Each client of All About Numbers is treated as if it was the owner's

approach. The difference? Managerial focuses on the day-to-day functionality of
the business and its profitability. Reports are generally for internal use and
are detailed. Financial focuses on reporting the facts to outside parties in a
clear and concise matter. Further, dedication is given to insure that the best
possible service is delivered to each client. All About Numbers services are all
competitively priced. All About Numbers boasts of many years experience in several

to your dollars." All About Numbers exists to enable clients to better understand
their financial position such that clients may experience growth.
All About. Laura Strombom
Laura Strombom, the founder and President of All About Numbers, Inc. came to accounting
quite by accident. As an Animal Science major at U.C. Davis in the late 80's,
her goal was to become a Veterinarian and own her own practice. She reasoned that
as a future business owner she should also learn a thing or two about business,
as she could be the best Vet in the world, but if she did not understand the business
side of the practice, she would fail. She wanted to minor in business, but U.C.
Davis did not offer a business degree - major or minor. So, she decided to take
economics courses that focused on business. Accounting courses fell into this
field, and she excelled in these classes. Meanwhile, she found Biochemistry to
be a stumbling block that would prevent her from making it into Vet School.
While a student she worked for a major entertainment retailer. Upon graduation
this company offered her a job as a store manager. As the offer was good, she
took the job. She advanced rapidly in the system, and along the way she received
a lot of training in Human Resources, Management, Prevention, Marketing and basic
business.
After a few years in the retail business, her parents beckoned her to work with
them in their trucking and construction companies. She initially started as a
however, she worked closely with the company C.P.A.learned more about accounting
and business. Soon she was in the capacity of controller.
In May of 1995, she decided to open All About Numbers as a means of helping small
business owners understand the financial workings of their companies. She got
the idea from friends who were small business owners. She found herself answering
many basic questions, setting up computerized bookkeeping systems and teaching
basic accounting to these friends. She decided to go beyond the scope of her friends
and market herself to others. To fill out her offerings, she took tax preparation
courses and became a licensed tax preparer. She also became a certified consultant
for DacEasy software. In addition to these services, she also offered full service
bookkeeping, at the clients location or hers, as well as a payroll service.
In 1998, she added MAS 90, Businessworks, and Peachtree to her accounting software
base. Along the way, she has also become well versed with Quickbooks.
In April 1999, Laura was awarded the degree of an Executive Masters of Business
Administration from Golden Gate University. Also in April 1999, Laura began teaching
accounting in the evenings at Heald Business College. Shortly thereafter, she
moved on to University of Phoenix where she taught Accounting and finance courses
at both the graduate and under graduate levels. She stopped this in 2003 after
her business grew to the point that she could no longer dedicate the time to teaching.
In 2000, Laura sat for and passed the Special Enrollment Examination with the
Internal Revenue Service. This test is a grueling 16 hours on 4 different areas
of taxation. Passing this test earned her the designation of Enrolled Agent (E.A.)
which entitles her to represent clients before the IRS in tax preparation, collections
and audits. To maintain this designation, she must take at least 24 hours of continuing
education each year in tax related matters, including 2 hours of ethics. Most
years, Laura manages to take double or triple the requirement.
In 2004, Laura was awarded Business Person of the Year by the Greater Stockton
Chamber of Commerce.
When not busy working, Laura enjoys spending time with her animals - Arabian horses,
Rottweiler dogs and a Himalyan cat. She also plays computer games, reads, and
spends time with friends.
